Eye Movement De-Sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement De-Sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Our partner therapists are fully trained and regulated to provide courses of Eye Movement De-Sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment usually recommended for those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

We have a large contact base of psychological experts located around the country who will be able to meet with your client on a regular basis in a location that works best for them. As well as this, we are able to organise all of the logistical arrangements for your client’s appointments and take care of the subsequent administration.

What happens during EMDR therapy?

During EMDR therapy, also known as eye movement therapy, your client will be asked to recall the incident that caused their psychological trauma and, at the same time, move their eyes from side-to-side. It is thought that EDMR treatment can reduce or alter negative thoughts about an accident or traumatic experience.

During a trial, it is important to have solid medical evidence that has been prepared by experienced professionals. The practitioner allocated to your case from our panel of therapists will work closely with our experts to produce a clear supporting document well within the timeframe given by the court. Not having to worry about organising any appointments for your client means you will have more time to focus on preparing for court.

MAPS will manage the process from beginning to end and will remain in contact with the EMDR therapist selected to provide continued support, should it be required. We are pleased to offer a competitive pricing scheme and favourable repayment terms for our EMDR therapy services and are able to quickly provide you with an accurate quote, accounting for all possible costs.
